INCLUDEnyc’s Barbara A. Glassman Appointed to Mayor’s Advisory Council

New York, NY, May 9, 2020—INCLUDEnyc Executive Director Barbara A. Glassman has been appointed to the Mayor’s Sector Advisory Council for Education, which will inform the City’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic for schools, families, and students.

“Students and their families have faced unprecedented challenges during COVID-related school closures which are creating even greater inequities for our students with disabilities. The City’s decisions about re-reopening and education policies must be inclusive of the disability community,” said Barbara A. Glassman, Executive Director of INCLUDEnyc, a non-profit that advocates for young people with disabilities and their families.

During school closures, INCLUDEnyc has provided up-to-date news and information, direct assistance to families, online workshops, and parent support groups.
