When a child falls apart at pickup, refuses to leave the playground, or shuts down the moment they walk in the door, their behavior can feel unpredictable, exhausting, and impossible to read. This session offers parents a different way of seeing those moments.
Drawing on a brain-and-body framework rooted in child development and the nervous system, this workshop introduces parents to a simple but powerful idea: behavior is how children communicate what they can’t yet put into words.
Parents will leave with:
-A new way of seeing behavior that makes the hard moments feel less random and how to support
-Three questions to ask themselves in those big-feeling or behavior moments to better understand them-A take-home reference guide to the most common brain-body patterns behind challenging behavior
