Candid Conversations: What are Self-Advocacy Skills for a Successful Transition?

Many families and young people with disabilities in New York are concerned about how to find the path to a successful future after high school. Join professionals as they discuss self-advocacy skills and steps that can lead to a transition that recognizes the full potential of a student with any disability.

This panel follows a 3-part video “Handing Over the Reins”, a joint effort of the NY Region 1 Parent Training and Information Center Collaborative, which is made up of Advocates for Children of New York, Inc., INCLUDEnyc, LIAC, and Sinergia. This video, which will be emailed to registrants of this event, was created in partnership with the Chinese American Planning Council, Community Inclusion & Development Alliance (CIDA), and New York DeafBlind Collaborative.
