Anxiety is consistently rated as the most common mental health disorder in youth—with 15% of children struggling with anxiety symptoms. In this INCLUDElive presentation with Michael L. Costa, Psy.D., parents will:

  • Learn how to recognize warning signs of anxiety disorder, such as specific changes in mood, thinking, and behavior
  • Get insights on how parenting can be modified to support an anxious child.
  • When and how to seek treatment
  • Learn how cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) works

Guest Presenter: Michael L. Costa, Psy.D., is the founder of Balanced Mind Psychology and a clinical psychologist specializing in children/adolescents, parenting, and young adults. He is licensed in New York and Connecticut, and is a certified school psychologist. Dr. Costa is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, contributing to the training programs by providing seminars and clinical supervision to future child/adolescent psychologists and psychiatrists.
