Manager of Individual Giving

Reports to: Senior Director of Development

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager of Individual Giving will play a pivotal role in INCLUDEnyc’s Development department during a period of growth for the organization. As part of a team with more than 30 years of collective fundraising experience, the Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive Individual Giving program, with particular focus on high net worth (HNW) individuals. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and able to manage all aspects of Individual Giving, including the production of fundraising and cultivation events, and strategies for donor prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship to create a robust donor portfolio. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Craft, implement, and oversee all aspects of INCLUDEnyc donor cultivation and solicitation, which includes a well-defined strategy to successfully identify and increase new donors, and increase giving from existing donors
  • Manage multiple donor fundraising projects, including oversight of data entry processes and monitoring of revenue tracking
  • Develop and execute outreach plans for targeted donor segments and establish processes that utilize data and technology to manage direct mail and online giving tactics
  • Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities and sources
  • Liaise with the Board Development committee to support Board fundraising activities
  • Conceive and manage special events, including annual Spring Benefit and HNW donor cultivation events
  • Collaborate with INCLUDEnyc’s Communications team to develop print materials (brochures, promotional materials, appeals and online content) to support individual giving strategies
  • Contribute to departmental fundraising strategy in support of a $1M revenue goal for individual giving and special events
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma and equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience managing successful annual campaigns, cultivating individual gifts, developing donor strategies, stewarding donors, and developing donor research profiles
  • Experience using donor CRM, Salesforce preferred
  • Creative strategic thinker with ability to function in a fast-paced, high volume, multi-faceted, results-oriented work environment, and ability to analyze issues, identify priorities, manage projects, and make thoughtful decisions
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Strong project management, and problem-solving skills
  •  Full understanding of how to leverage relationships, special events, and software programs (Salesforce, Excel, wealth engines, research applications, etc.) to develop a donor prospect pipeline

BASE SALARY:

$65,000 – $70,000
