What can parents do if their children with disabilities are not receiving appropriate special education or related services?

Join us as The Law Office of Steven Alizio explains how to navigate the NYC special education impartial hearing process in order to obtain various forms of relief, such as:

• Private school tuition (prospective funding or reimbursement)

• Compensatory services (such as multisensory tutoring, executive functioning coaching, applied behavior analysis, speech, occupational, and physical therapies)

• Independent Educational Evaluations (prospective funding or reimbursement for the cost of

comprehensive neuropsychological and other evaluations)

• Pendency or the “stay-put” provision of the IDEA (preventing the disruption of a child’s

education when the school district and parents disagree on special education services

recommended in the IEP)
