In this workshop, families and professionals will learn:

  • The transition planning process, requirements, and postsecondary options to prepare students for adult life and new educational, employment, and independent living settings.
  • Different parts of the transition planning process that help families and professionals to support students in developing self-determination skills and measurable postsecondary goals and annual goals.
  • How to use resources embedded in the Family Guide to further enhance your understanding of each of the topic areas and to enhance collaboration in transition planning.
