This training explores the recommendation and implementation of quality special education services for all students with disabilities. The modules in this training provide CPSE and CSE chairpersons with best practices for engaging in the CPSE/CSE process and for the role of chairperson that are consistent with New York State law and regulation.
Module 1 will cover commonly used special education acronyms and the role of the CPSE. Participants will review and discuss information gathered and evaluations administered to identify the students’ needs; determine eligibility and classification; recommend programs and services; and review programs and services.
