Children learn and develop vocabulary best when the discovery of new words and their meaning is introduced both at home and in school. Through this training, families and education professionals will learn about the importance of vocabulary instruction in language development and reading skills for elementary school grades. Participants will leave with a set of practical tips, strategies, and resources that help foster a natural curiosity about unfamiliar words, and how to encourage vocabulary development in a child’s daily life experiences and interactions.
NYC families & professionals are welcome.
